Privacy policy

8plate ("8plate", "we", "us") is an AI personal assistant that you use by chatting with the Telegram bot @EightPlateAI_bot. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, write to info@8plate.ai.
1. Data we collect
- Account details from Telegram: your Telegram user id, name, and language, and your phone number only if you choose to share it.
- Your conversations: the messages, voice messages, photos, documents, locations, and contacts you send to the bot, and the bot's replies.
- Website logins you save: when you ask the assistant to log in to a website for you, the login details you enter in our secure form (such as a username and password), and the browser session of that website (cookies and local storage).
- Google account data, when you connect a Google account: see section 3.
- Technical data: logs needed to run and secure the service, such as the time of a request and errors.
2. How we use your data
We use your data only to provide the assistant to you: to understand your requests, carry them out, reply to you, and keep the context of your conversation. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers listed in section 5, which process it on our behalf.
3. Google user data
You can connect your Google account so the assistant can work with your Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive. You choose what to allow on Google's consent screen, and you can disconnect at any time.
What we access, and why:
- Email address and basic profile (openid, email): to know which Google account you connected.
- Gmail (read-only access, and composing drafts and sending): to search and read your emails when you ask, and to create drafts and send an email only after you see it and approve sending it.
- Google Calendar (your calendar list, your events, and free/busy times): to show, search, create, update, or delete events, and to find free times, when you ask.
- Google Drive (read-only access to your files, and access to files the app creates): to search and read your files, send you a file you ask for, and create files when you ask.
How we use and store it: Google data is fetched only when you make a request that needs it, and is used only to answer that request. The content of an email, event, or file is passed to our AI model to prepare the reply, and becomes part of your conversation history. The access and refresh tokens Google gives us are stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and are used only by our servers to call Google on your behalf.
Limited Use. 8plate's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, we do not allow humans to read it except with your explicit consent, for security purposes, or to comply with the law, and we do not use it to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine learning models.
4. How we protect your data
- Passwords and other login values, browser sessions, and Google tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are stored, with keys kept separately from the database.
- Data is sent only over encrypted connections (TLS).
- Login details are entered in a secure form, never in the chat, and the AI model never sees them.
- Access to our systems is limited to the people who operate the service.
5. Service providers
We use these providers to run the service. Each receives only the data it needs:
- Telegram, to deliver messages between you and the bot.
- Google (Gemini API), the AI model that reads your requests and prepares replies.
- Cloud hosting and storage providers (database, cache, and file storage), where your data is stored.
- Google APIs (Gmail, Calendar, Drive), only when you connect your Google account.
6. How long we keep data
We keep your conversations, files, and saved logins while you use the service, so the assistant can continue where you left off. When you ask us to delete your data, we delete it within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it. When you disconnect your Google account, we delete its tokens and stop accessing it.
7. Your choices and rights
- Disconnect Google: at any time from your Google account's third-party access page, or by asking the assistant or us.
- Forget a saved login: ask the assistant to forget the login of a website.
- Access, correct, or delete your data: write to info@8plate.ai from the account you use, or tell the assistant, and we will handle it.
8. Children
8plate is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will tell you in the chat.
